SAK Finder

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how SAK Finder collects, uses, stores, and deletes information. SAK Finder is a fan-made Swiss Army Knife index and collection tool. It is not affiliated with Victorinox AG.

What information we collect

How we use information

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We use service providers to run the site, including Supabase for authentication and database storage, Vercel for hosting, analytics, and performance measurement, and exchange-rate services for currency conversion. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services.

Public profile and collection pages can be viewed by anyone with the relevant URL. The site also links to external websites, including retailer, support, and feedback links; their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Cookies and local storage

SAK Finder uses browser local storage for preferences such as currency, theme, and support-prompt timing. Authentication providers and service providers may use cookies or similar technologies to keep you signed in and protect the service. Optional analytics and performance measurement tools are used only after you accept analytics on the site.

Data retention

Account, profile, collection, and vote data is kept while your account or public collection data remains active, unless deletion is requested or the data is no longer needed. Local browser preferences remain on your device until you clear site data in your browser.

Data deletion requests

If you are signed in to SAK Finder, you can delete your account from the account menu. This deletes the related SAK Finder account profile, collections, saved items, votes, and authentication-linked data that we control.

You can also request deletion of your SAK Finder account data and personal data collected through email, Google, or Facebook Login by using the SAK Finder contact form. In your request, include the email address used to sign in or your public profile URL so we can identify the account. Ask for "account and personal data deletion."

After verification, we will delete or anonymize the related SAK Finder account profile, collections, saved items, votes, and authentication-linked data that we control, unless retention is required for security, fraud prevention, or legal reasons.

If you remove SAK Finder from your Facebook account's Apps and Websites settings and send a deletion request there, Facebook sends SAK Finder a data deletion request. We use that request to delete the matching SAK Finder account profile, collections, saved items, votes, and authentication-linked data that we control.

Children

SAK Finder is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, use the contact form above to request deletion.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the site, providers, or legal requirements change. The updated date at the top shows when the latest version was published.
